Our store, Patio Living, is located in the Second Street boutique District in Austin, Texas. This district features many shops and outdoor restaurants for the trendy and outgoing adult. In addition to the shops, there is a large live music scene with several venues both indoor and outdoor. This is a good place for our customer because she can shop for outfits while enjoying time with her family, as shopping is a family event for many Hispanic people.
The name Patio Living inspires relaxing and intimate settings outside in the backyard of your own home. Our customer is a Hispanic woman between the ages of 40 and 55 who enjoys spending her time with her family at many different events. Hispanic people have been described as “constantly connected” and desire a strong community bond through social events (Gevelber, 2014). While she does not require formal wear, she finds value in inexpensive yet stylish mix and match outfits she can wear in a multitude of settings. From her kids games to a parents night out, she can dress up and down casual and comfortable looks with chic accessories and statement pieces.
